We took Dawn's parents to Mt. Rainier when they were visiting in July 2000. We chose to hike the Carbon Glacier Trail on the north side of the mountain. It's a 7 mile hike round-trip, and passes through a nice variety of settings. Carbon Glacier is the lowest elevation glacier in the western hemisphere.
