We managed to wake up mid-morning today. After a quick stop at Dean and Deluca to pick up some on-the-road lunch for later, we took I-5 north (our first major highway drive in weeks - what a change from the lazy back roads). It is amazingly boring to drive on I-5 north of Sacramento. We don't recommend it. Fortunately, the scenery picks up again in northern California and all throughout Oregon.

We arrived in Ashland, Oregon in early evening, checked into our B&B, grabbed a bite to eat at a reasonably good Latin restaurant named Tabu, and crashed into bed. Looks like partying at The French Laundry the night before finally caught up with us.
