       We spent two weeks in France this spring: one in the beautiful northwest countryside of Brittany and Normandy and another week in a 17th century apartment in Paris. We hiked the breathtaking cliffs of Étretat, toured the immense cathedrals of Mont-Saint-Michel and Chartres, walked the largest cemetery in Paris, and nearly sailed a boat in the Luxembourg Gardens. Food highlights included the best crêpes, croissants, salted butter caramels, duck confit, and butter we've tasted, an underground dinner party at Hidden Kitchen, and a three-star meal at Le Bristol.
